  • Is the tea sweetened?
The tea is not sweetened. We provide sweetener, sugar, and lemon to accommdate the tea.
  • What paper goods are included in the catering?
We provide 3-compartment foam plates, utensils kits (plastic fork, knife, spoon, napkin, salt, and pepper are included), and styrofoam drinking cups.
  • How is the catering served?
Very similar to our restaurant: The guests will walk through a line to receive their sides on one end and meats on the other end with all fixings included (pickles, onions, BBQ sauce, and bread). Lastly they will receive their drink.
  • Are the tables bussed and is the trash picked up by San Marcos BBQ?
Only if there has been a prior engagement made for us to do so. We typically only clean the set-up from serving the food.
  • How long does the food stay hot?
The equipment used to transfer our food is designed to hold the temperature for 6-8 hours. We also provide chaffing dishes to keep the sides and meats warm over an extended period of time.
  • Do you provide ice for the tea and water?
Yes, we provide ice to accommodate the number of guests at the event!
  • How early do y'all typically arrive before the event starts?
We aim to show up 45 minutes to an hour ahead of the scheduled serve time; our setup is fairly simple and does not require a lot of time.
  • What happens to the leftovers if the full attendance of the event doesn't show up?
We provide aluminum pans for the meats and one gallon buckets for the sides to pack up the food once the event is over and all the guests have been served.
  • How late can I book an event?
We try to meet the needs of every customer, but at least a two week notice is preferred! If you can't book the event within a two weeks advance, we will try our best to prepare the food and properly staff the event depending on our schedule at the time.
